I feel I’ve been charmed by a lot of guilty pleasures lately and when I read about Spiritbox I thought for my self ”damn it, this is one of those bad albums I will like”.
But sometimes it’s a wonderful feeling when stuff you ”shouldn’t” like delivers exactly what it sounds like on paper. It’s a good feeling that some things in the world aren’t upside down, and this radio rock core crap is just not for me.
The Canadian metalcore bands debut album Eternal Blue sounds like if Bullet For My Valentine and Evanescence got married and on their honeymoon got infected by the ”bad imitation of Pantera riffs”-bug.
